Let me introduce myself: Charles Pellens (1964) designer and owner of CharlesDesigns, a design company based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. In my free time I love to fly
with anything remotely controlled: large RC Helicopters, RC Airplanes and Multirotors. In my RC flying club I noticed lots of different multirotors: DJI Phantoms, small overpowered FPV
quadcopters and scratch- and home-built experiments.
Recently, I designed and assembled a V-tail Quadcopter based on existing plain carbon fibre frame (CNC cut), Naze32 flight controller, etc.
When I took my carbon prototype V-Tail to the flying club, people were enthusiastic about the looks and the flight characteristics. It handled very well and had great YAW stability, hence great
control. It looks like an airplane and has more or less the same flight characteristics. As such, this model is not so much for aerial photography, but for cruising and aerobatics like
flips and rolls.
